Seriously, this was some cash a client had me bring to a home show to use as part of a marketing event. I just couldn’t resist taking some photos of the baby in a big pile of cash, even if it was all singles . . .

InterviewSt Petersburg Web Design and Florida Data Services have been good to me! Dream Designs by Texx Smith has just finished a huge data project for a contractor in the “My Safe Florida Home Program,” now it’s time to re-focus on expanding our client base.

As the Owner and Lead Project Manager of Dream Designs by Texx Smith, new clients are one of my favorite parts of the business!

Each client has a need for a new solution. It’s true, most of them want a web site for marketing purposes (nothing wrong with that), but each client has different things to say with their web site and their own take on marketing. Sometimes it’s adding a video (and/or making it), sometimes it’s making something so visually stunning people will just have to be impressed.

Florida Senator Dave Aronberg came to Southwest Florida to hand out free money. The state has a relatively new program that, if you qualify, will match your money in order to make you, your home and your family safer for a hurricane.

It’s called My Safe Florida Home and hundreds right here are already taking advantage.

The Kaffs are one of many families in Florida getting a big check from the state. The say the matching $5,000 grant will help pay for their new windows and garage door.

“The help from the state lets you do it sooner and I think it will promote a lot of people to do it,” said Port Charlotte homeowner Doug Kaff.

The Kaffs say the big thing is to just go ahead and get the inspection. That way you know what your house needs to be hurricane resistant.

The state will provide a free wind inspection on your home - even if you don’t qualify for the grant.
