More Google Desktop Search Warnings

Yes, it’s true. I am paranoid. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t people trying to record what I do, what files are on my computer, what web sites I visit, what movies and music I play, which software I use and more.
Google Desktop Search is one of those. The first version of google desktop search was great. It searced your computer and that was it. Then google forgot about it’s “do no evil” motto and the second version of it’s desktop search began building profiles iof a users files, software, web site history etc to better serve them advertising.
Google Offices
Now google has gone even further into the the datamining business. The EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) has issued a special alert about the latest version of google desktop search saying “Consumers Should Not Use New Google Desktop”. The latest problem is with the new “Search Across Computers” feature. This enables a more permanent record of the files, text within the files, and the other info it’s been gathering to be stored on google servers. Also the get even more information about you, and your employer, or whatever other computer your searching for material on.

Enough is enough! Stop spying on us!
